Kim Bum - Career Journey

Kim Bum (born 7 July 1989) is a young energic actor which name soared because of his appearance as SoYi Jeong in Boys Before Flower serial Korean TV drama.
He has also stared any roles in drama such as Unstoppable High Kick and East of Eden.

His talent as entertainer has shown up from his childhood. He liked watching TV, especially music channel and film also like to make comprehensive critiques after watching the film.

As a shy boy in 17, Kim Bum joined “Survival Star Audition to get his confidence significantly. Then he was shone among thousands participants, he was push to top ten. However he didn’t proceed further due to his young age, but still retained 8th position.
This was one step to go forward to improve career.

Following “Survival Star Audition”, Kim Bum started to receive new acting opportunities. As the son of Yoo Ho Jung in “Outrageous Women” and playing in MBC’s comedy sitcom “Unstoppable High Kick” (2006), Kim Bum garnered a little popularity. With fame comes with accusations. Then 2007 he got Korea MNET Summer break 20's as The Sexiest Actor in Korea.

In 2008 staring small role in East of Eden as Lee Dong Chul in adolescence. Also got DK inki Award 2008. And continuing soar his name as So Yi Jeong in Boys Before Flower (2009) and gain Key To Nineja`s award.

His careers keep continuing as an actor and model. KIA car production asked Kim Bum to represent KIA Forte Group which launched in New York International Auto Show in last year spring.

His hobby is playing soccer while in spare time and as striker when he was at High School. Christiano Ronaldo is his idol. Besides, he quite good in playing piano and he exhibit his talent playing piano at F4 special TV KBS program.

Tight schedule made Kim Bum giving his film “71” because he must finish one of schedule. He choosed to settle his drama “Dream” and especially learns martial art. Because of this role, Kim Bum was chosen by Nintendo to appear in the ad game Mario Kart Wii. Clearly, this is an honor for Kim Bum, because Nintendo is known as a brand that only selected artists who are well known and internationally level.
